England v Germany, couldn't be a better match as I'm 50:50 on this one.

Not really a football fan, but watching in the pub with a mate, he pointed out that unlike the men, they get knocked over and are straight back up again.

They really seemed to play with a passion missing from the men's team.

Hope they win it will give a huge boost to womens football and to the country that needs something to cheer us all up

Plus

They don't argue wit the Ref.

They dont dive every time any opponent touches them , looking for free kick or penalty

Nor do they rip there shirts off and run around topless after a goal ! but you can't have everything 😎

Have to agree. I didn’t watch the semis but caught the match before and enjoyed it. I’m absolutely not a football fan because of the on field nonsense, diving, feigning injury etc plus the often loutish fans.

The Women’s game seems refreshingly free of all this, and the skill of the players makes up for any lack of ultimate pace or power.

I don’t think I could bear a loss on penalties, so come on Ladies! 👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Agreed, they have come a long way fitness and technique wise, enjoyable to watch. I noticed the other day the half time whistle was blown at 45 minutes and 7 seconds, when did you ever see that in a ‎mens game?  Just football, no messing.

I'm no football fan either and the one thing I notice from the unavoidable clips on the evening news, is that the screaming commentator who accompanies men's games has been replaced with a screeching woman for the women's games. I'm sure that when I was a youth before leaving home and setting sail on the seas of matrimony, my dad would watch games occasionally and I do not remember that style of commentary then. They seem to have decided to raise the level of crowd noise in the director's mixing desk, and ask the commentator to abandon his 'whispering mic' for a standard one and to shout over the crowd noise. The poor sod must be hoarse at best, and knackered after aa game! :getmecoat:

I'm not a football fan either but watch the ladies euros for all the reasons you mention.   There's more great goals as well.

The same is true for the hysterical outbursts we are now getting on F1 commentary . I think these people go to screeching classes as part of there training to be commentators :sheep:

We watch on Channel 4, Bernie, and apart from the loony Steve Jones, the partisan Red Bull fanboys Webber and Coulthard, the in-race screaming at the slightest thing borders on hysteria sometimes. Bring back John Bolster and Raymond Baxter - true exponents of understatement.
