Richard (OldStager)
Today was rain on and off, so helped a mate sort out his P6 We needed to flush the cooling system, replace all rubber pipes and bleed system, took a lot longer to flush out rad and block than I thought... Not quite finished yet, tomorrow should sort it 👍
Richard (OldStager)
Got the Rover stuff sorted out, today I spent a day looking at houses to buy, just window shopping at this point as I want to see what I can get down here for my Lancashire pound notes ( not a lot it turns out ...) I may have to look at places in North Wales as they seem more in my reach.
Richard (OldStager)
Sadly not Westy related (although a few were there) , I went to what could be the very last running of the New Brighton Stages Rally - an event close to my heart as being the venue of my first ever go at competitive driving. Seems the council are pulling their support for the event after 40 years as they have to order road closures etc, so quite well timed for me to catch the last one whist I am down here. And some spectators cars part of the North West Kit Car club back to the rally

Richard (OldStager)
Coffee meet never happened, but today drove back to Blackpool to deliver the new shopping car , which allowed me to see the WSCC "stick it" sticker. This will be applied to the Westy and photographed next week, when I am back on the Wirral for a few more weeks.
Richard (OldStager)
Wow 10 days since I lasted posted on this thread, well quite a lot has happened, not least I am currently sat at home in Lancashire again. But yesterday spent an enjoyable day at a local car show, the first of what is hoped as many at WaterWorld in Neston, Wirral. Far more cars arrived than was expected and the management did at one point have to limit the pubic's entrance to the venue, since there was no more spaces for cars to park. It's not often that I am the only "7" at a car show but I was on this occasion. With the car show scene winding down for the year, I too deceided it was perhaps time to return home, so with a sad farewell after almost 2 months I said goodbye to the Wirral and headed home. An hour and three quarters later I arrived safe and sound back where the car really belongs Huge thanks to the Wirral group without whose help I would be stranded with a bust diff and leaking exhaust gaskets, thank you all for your help and support , and great to meet just a few of the members down there. 👍. There maybe chance to return, but alas without the Westy. That will now be SORN'd for the winter and get some of those jobs sorted out I could never get done during spring/ summer. Thank you all once again and hope to catch up with the Wirral group again.
