Steve Bosworth Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Hi all I’m after replacing my widebody chrome windscreen and uprights for a black version .
Richard (OldStager) Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 If you have no luck getting one, you can paint them, but be sure to use an etch primer on the alloy frame and uprights first before painting , otherwise it won't look good for very long. Nice car BTW.
Phil B Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Take them to your local powder coaters. Be a couple of hundred £ to have them blasted and coated

They should be able to mask it if you ask. the seals on the frame can be tricky to get back in and may need some lubricant to get things moving easily.

Would have thought with the correct masking that they may not even have to take the screen out the channels.

Powdercoat cures at around 200degC so I wouldn’t want to risk the stress on the glass or melting the seals.
