It will be my first one so don’t know too much about them , so more than likely be asking a few questions. Viewed a couple so far but not much for sale near me so still looking . I know Wigan well, I used to live in Winstanley for a good few years when I worked in Aspull (had the joys of the traffic on Poolstock Lane every morning! 😂). As Si says, get along to a few meets and talk to some owners and ask loads of questions. As no two cars are the same, I found it best to make a list of "must haves" to narrow things down... Wigan Ste Posted June 21, 2022 Author Share Posted June 21, 2022 Budget would be £7000 to £9000 ish , widebody . Prefer 1600 / 1700 Ford engine not after anything mega fast . Would prob have to spend first winter outside so any weather gear and security would be a bonus . Though being in Wigan, you're better placed than some members in Cornwall or Scotland who expect to find a car on their doorstep etc. Don't rush. Don't forget to speak to Andrew at ToyBox Specialist Cars, he sells loads of westy's and can help you refine your search. As a dealer he is a little more expensive than cars on this forum but that comes with his quality etc. If you have a hard budget then youmight have to wait to find 'your' car. Also, if you see a car on FB/EBay etc then grab a screen shot and post it up here - there is decades/centuries of experience and knowledge to help you assess and value cars for sale.
