Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
My old 20 year old windscreen looks like its been sandblasted, and it's orrible into low sun or headlamps I need a standard wide ZK body windscreen, not a tall one or heated, must be as new and unmarked, would prefer a black surround, so c'mon guys, all you boy racers that have fitted aeroscreens, you must have a screen knocking about, would prefer northwest, but what have you got? Or does anyone know who supplied Westfield? OR anywhere that can cut one to a template?

Onliest Smeg David
PM'ed you @Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO The place I had saved as a supplier was https://www.heatedwindscreen.com/products/westfield-heated-windscreen#SID=528 but looks like they only do the heated ones for a Westfield now.
JohnL
Bit of a long shot but quite a few years ago I purchased a new screen from the guy who supplied Westfield. He operated from a huge steel boat moored on the banks of the Seven river near Stourport. I believe the name of the boatyard was Sirius Marine off Sandy Lane. I remember him telling me the glass was cut from a Land Rover screen. Sorry if this turns out to be a load of codswallop, just trying to help. The memory bank isn't what it was. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
2 minutes ago, JohnL said: the glass was cut from a Land Rover screen The new glass was, or should normally have been Pilkingtons Classics department. But it is absolutely correct, though I don't know if the factory ever did it, that those wanting full e-marked automotive glass usually seem to get them cut from Defender screens.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Incidentally, for scratches that aren't too deep, and may polish out, cerium oxide is the pukka stuff for the job. Though you may need a machine polisher of some sort, (a Dremme/equivalent might just do it.)
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
This is the marking on the existing screen, so I contacted Auto windscreens online (the only way) and they rang me back, the caller was a lady and she didn't know what a Westfield, from there the conversation was quite interesting, she said she would make enquiries with their supplier and get back to me, I'm still waiting....... Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Yeah, I think that's a hold over from the days before Auto Windscreens became just another hang 'n bang company and actually used to have their own stuff made.
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
Thanks everyone for all the help, I'm fixed up now, I got a brand new screen from a fellow member who hadn't got round to fitting it and then sold his Westy. For information. Gary Taylors suggestion of Pilkington Classic looks good. If you go on their website and type In Westfield it comes up, so should be good.
