Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
For Sale: Westfield 1.6 Sigma SEiW, £10995 ono HA57 MVZ, first registered March 2008. Currently, just under 12000 miles. MOT till 25/9/2022 Well the time has come, I really need this cracking Westfield gone! The Honda is the only one getting used now, it’s 95% done, so it’s time someone else got to enjoy this pearl of a car. Bought as a last minute stop gap in 2019, from a friend; the car after a couple of little “convenience” mods, went straight into a sixteen hundred mile tour of the Alps, where other than once loose hose clip, it behaved faultlessly! The car is so light, responsive and “pointy” it really came alive on the Alpine passes, just like it does in the Peaks and in the Welsh valleys and mountains. Do not underestimate Sigma power!! (note the photos above show it with it's original crimson front arches, and the wheels from my blue car temporarily fitted. You can have the arches foc, one is damaged on the front edge from before I got it.) A little background; the car is a long term WSCC car, originally owned by Martin Van Zeller, who had the misfortune to be involved in a motorcyclists accident, (completely the bikers fault.) The damaged car was purchased from Martin by my friend, who carried out a full re-build and the Vehicle ID check certificate was issued in April 2010. Receipts for the parts replaced are included, but essentially, Nige bought a new Sport 1.6 (Sigma kit), and returned the old, damaged chassis to Westfield, who replaced it with a brand new chassis on the original VIN number. (Standard practice for damaged exchange chassis.) NO ACCIDENT DAMAGED PARTS remain on the car! The current mileage is just under 12860. (Half of which was me in the last couple of years.) It had all new (2009/10) from Westfield: · Chassis (lowered floors) · Seats · RAC Roll Bar · Dampers · Interior panels · Kick strips · Seat back finisher · Contour dash · Carbon effect lamp set · Spare wheel carrier · Number plate light · Carpet set · Nose grill · CV joint kit · Water pipe set · Hand brake · Wiper set · New bodywork in Crimson · New fuel hose · Windscreen · Widetrack front wishbones The original Sigma engine, (new at time of original build), the Type 9 gearbox and Sierra diff (Open) were undamaged, and carried across from the original car. Spec: Driveline: · Ford Sigma 1.6 litre engine new on first build, with single throttle body fuel injection and Alpha Webcon injection. · Ford Type 9 gear box, standard ratios · Sierra Open diff, C/W CV joints · Westifield exhaust manifold, inc Cat · Wunnoff custom silencer and link pipe. Braking/Suspension: · Factory Widetrack front · Standard Westfield springs/dampers · Standard Westfield fit front callipers for the Sport 1.6 kit (Discovery rear, derived) · Golf rear callipers, (So you get to enjoy a working handbrake) · Micro switch conversion from pressure switch, to ensure more consistent brake light operation Bodywork/exterior: · ZK SEiW with detachable rear arches, in Westfield Crimson with Paint Protection Film to rear arches. · Rear spare wheel carrier, inc wheel (15 wheels) · Windscreen, black frame · Full weather gear, side screens and roof plus modified frame, to clear RAC roll bar · Bespoke, fitted tonneau cover. · RAC Style roll bar. Electrical: · H4 LED (bulb) headlamp conversion for dipped/main beam, to the 5 3/4” headlamps · High level rear brake light on roll bar · New Exide maintenance free gel battery, this Spring · Bluetooth remote battery state monitor – connects to phone app. · Ctek battery charger connection. · Sterling Excel immobiliser. Interior: · Black/red trim to coordinate with body · Contour dash · Centre console with storage and USB charging point · Sports seats · Carpeted · Matt Lewis Racing shortened quick shift gear lever, Westfield aluminium gear knob · Full harnesses, (Westfield 2” type) · Drivers/passengers tunnel side storage nets · Westfield indicator timer switch. (Prevents indicators being left on, from before the advent of the Blink Stop/FreeWheel!) General Condition & Comments: Overall, very good, it’s no garage queen and has enjoyed it’s fair share of Peak District, Welsh and Alpine roads, so there are some light surface marks to the grp in the most vulnerable areas, commensurate with it’s age and milage. No major marks or damage though. There are a couple of small chips on the windscreen, again, nothing major. Internal trim is all good, though the drivers seat shows the typical “Sports Seat” usage marks. Note, the included full hood has the usual cracking hood channel problem most cars have that use the weather gear. It has been repaired and reinforced, but replacement channels are available from Westfield. The core plugs on the top of the cylinder head, (a known Sigma weak spot) were changed in 2020, see article here. The battery was changed a month or so ago to the more reliable Exide gel type, this is the equivalent size to the standard Banner so perfect for touring etc. But is completely sealed, so no levels to worry about. MoT was done on 25/9/2021. Engine oil and filter change also just carried out. (Spark plugs replaced last year when the core plugs were done). Comes with the usual folder of receipts/history/dyno print out. I also have available for purchase, separately for this car, a Hamilton Classic out door cover, (2/3 years old, in good condition), and a Westfield supplied Half Hood for RAC roll bar. If these don’t sell with the car, I’ll put individual adverts up later. These in perfect show room condition, and without the accident damage history, have gone for as much as £15000 recently. However, to reflect the history, and to avoid me needing to do a couple of small "tidy up" powder coat jobs, I'm looking for offers around £10995. I can be contacted on 07769 908575. As the car is now, for sale.

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
More detail photos. The Ford Power Products badge is how their Crate engines are supplied, via Power Torque, in the UK. So a brand new Ford engine when first installed, not one from another vehicle.
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO
I'm embarrassed to say @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman isn't a handicap when he's pedalled this round on both UK and our trips to the Alps! It certainly shifts and he's enjoyed it immensely! Part of the reason his epic S2000S has taken so long to finish is because he's been out too much playing in this Sigma car instead of being on the spanners. I'm sure it will be soon snapped up and will equally delight the next owner. 1
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Very true Ian, it's been a difficult one to sell; it's just so much fun to drive, even next to the S2000. The car just feels so light, so delicate, so nimble, by comparison. And compared to the big Hondas, it just can carry so much speed into a bend...

It surprised me a few times in Wales with its ability to embarrass the mega S2000’s by keeping up so bl**dy well!

Greenstreak-Andy D
This is a brilliantly balanced 7. Just nice and light weight, which translates to the ethos of a seven. Next owner will love it! Andy

Slightly embarrassing to watch the little sigma scamper away from me in the Peaks with a 100bhp deficit 😂 Lovely motor, some lucky person will be getting a cracking car 👍 1
Rory's Dad
Despite the very long list of replacement parts, you'll be glad to know I escaped unscathed. However the memory of a Ducati whistling past my ear at high speed is still with me 🤣 🤣 Good luck with the sale Dave
