Warren E Smith Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Buzz, you're missing something. In English it takes a few words to say something meaningful. In France it takes 3 paragraphs of carefully scripted words hand written by a beautiful quill & only laid onto paper in final form after 15 attempts, several "nice" dinners made out of offal that we British are supposed to fawn over. No wonder that for the French 12 years isn't long enough. Oh. And let me guess at one thing.... Will the French, follow the precedent of the last Gulf War when they actively lobbied really really really hard BEFORE the invasion, for the contracts to clean up Kuwait. PEACEFUL INTENTIONS - B*LL*X - The reason the french took their position is the following - they want to get the Contracts to rebuild Iraq (now) and Saddam probably still owes them too much money for the last Nuclear reactor they sold him........ Oh finally don't forget the ONLY reason Chirac ran for Presidency for a 3rd time - If he didn't he would have been tried and undoubtedly found guilty - of the major Frauds he committed whilst Mayor of Paris. Principles and France / French can never go in the same sentence.
Mark Stanton Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 bl**** Ell The french are invaded every year in June - by thousands of Brits going to Le Mans - see even the French can have something good about em Can't think of much else though
westy Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 I'm sure if we dig down deep we will end up with the sketch 'what did the romans ever give us?'....actually no we probably wouldn't
Westfields Rock On Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 next time im in france im gunna........................ litter
Mark Stanton Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 next time im in france im gunna Stay there ......................
Buzz Billsberry Posted March 19, 2003 Author Posted March 19, 2003 Well said Warren. I'd forgot about Chirac's shaddy past. How much for the Renault Bananaman? 100 FF's,white flag,a yellow stripe! would u thro' inthe Veto FOC? As for Moggwi.I agree ref. Bush and I'm not a labourite or a big fan of Blair but he did swing it for me on Radio 4 yesterday when he swept aside the doubting muppets in Parliament...... top show. As For Mike's letter, way short of the mark, now I know that opinion polls can be erh.. manipulated but of the news programmes (sorry programs as we a talking about the yanks)over the last 24hrs it seems that they are now backing the war. True they an't much choice, but at least they are showing solidarity/backing for their troops unlike the UK where polls are about 50/50 despite the muppet who is John Reece the leader(pa) of the 'Don't Attack Iraq' campaign Mr Reece had just returned from a summit meeting with his nice collegues in Fluffy Castle,Disneyland France. and reckons that they arn't an impudent, ineffective voice...so this guy reckons he can stop the conflict from going a head? plus he says that the no's have it at 70/30. All this anti war flapping must really make the British troop's moral high, thinking that their own team supports arn't backing them.(Mind u u wonna get down Elland Road lately! This war is coming, its gonna happen and it will be under way by this time tomorrow. The Anti War Brigade should get behind the British troops now and support them. Once this conflict has passed the coalition should turn their attention to France, load up the B52's head for Southern France and carpet bomb their way upto Calais(being careful not to hit Monaco we can't have the GP circuit damaged never mind the cote d'azure,u know what the Yanks are like at friendly fire) turn right and right again head south east and drop a few on Munich just to let them know we arn't happy. There's no point bombing Russia the Yanks have spent 2 much money rebuilding its economy. The Yanks wanted to bomb China but Blair said no,there would be a revault in GB as the chinese would close all their take aways. This would cause civil unrest @ the weekends, and would have a crippling effect on the British economy. Thank god India agreed toget stuck in!!! regarding oil u must be using the wrong agents I'll sell it to u at $25 a barrel u save $3 I make $5 where all happy I've sussed why the Germans have said no. They're sulking because they are so p******** off they didn't start it If I would have known the Eriks were gonna bottle it, I wouldn't have ordered a new Passat, do you think the local VAG dealer will take it back and swop it for a SUV or a Hummer! . Buzz
westy Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 now I know that opinion polls can be erh.. manipulated I disagree, Westy (Jedi Religion Member)
westy Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Admittedly its bad but its the best I can muster after being hit in a car accident before 10 am this morning, grumble
neilwillis Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Was it a Renault that hit you? Let me get this straight here. As a club, we don't like the French, is that correct? And can you put this one past me again, are we pro, or anti war?
Blatman Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Let me get this straight here. As a club, we don't like the French, is that correct? NO NO NO NO..........this isn't a "Club" collective opinion, just the opinions of a (very) few individuals. Most of the French people I've met have been perfectly normal. I go to Le Mans every year, so I've encountered quite a few......
