Is there anything planned for Newark Kit Car Show?

No.

 

Not at Whole Club  level, that is. I plan to go to have a bit of a recce and see what it’s like so we can consider for next year, and some of our Areas may want to arrange a run there etc. but at the moment, it’s all a bit of an unknown.

I think some of us Midlands "rabble" might attend for at least one of the days (we've been talking about it on our our little chat group).

 

If we arrange a trip, we will post on here 👍

 

Looking at some of the comments on other forums, it appears the cost of a trade stand is significantly cheaper than at Stoneleigh so we may see more businesses attending.... Good in one way, but bad for the wallet! 😂

I’m going to give it a reccy. Would like it to be successful so going to attend to support this new venture.

Can the show organisers be contacted by the club so we can be allocated a Westfield club parking area?

I'm trying to sort something out at the moment, but won't know till the week after next, (they're all guns blazing on their biggest event of the year next week).

 

Just to stress again, though, we won't have an official "full" presence, even if we do get some group parking, this year, as it's just a fact-finding visit, so no actual stand, volunteers, displays and so on. If any AO's bring their Area flags, we may be able to do something with those, but it will be very much on an adhoc basis, this time around.

It would be helpful though to have a feel for possible numbers, a dozen, a few dozen, etc. (just so we know what to be asking for).

Maybe a poll to see how many are going? I’m planning on doing one of the days to see what it’s like.
