Richard (OldStager)
Before I go and buy one, does anyone happen to have a spare or unwanted charger cable for an Apple phone. The phone is quite old , so incase they are different on modern ones this is the phone end of the cable ( the other being a normal USB 2/3 type) Fitting a USB socket to the car today and forgot about the actual cable .... Captain Colonial
Are you using it to power your new artificial sun for your sundial?

Rhett Turner - Black Country AO
Not changed for quite a while, they don't tend to last forever. You'll see a variety of prices just make sure it's MFI certified. I had some that stopped working the phone would no long work with them.

Just been up to the corner shop and got one, was more than a pound though ... a lot more. However it seems to have come with a protective outer shield over the normal insulation, its black too which is better for the car looks wise. Just tried it on the PC and it does work, I can't find this MSI bit on the box it came in though 😐 Off to brave a cold garage to wire all this stuff in 🥶

This is what all the sudden interest in Arduino's is really for, of course! It's for the controller to move the artificial sun around.
Richard (OldStager)
Oh I have well and truly been found out, what do you think the temp gauge was for, that will dictate at what temp I need the sun to operate, the Iphone cable is so I can have an app in the car, so it will spin when I get home, the app is quite a load on the phone battery so I needed a charge cable fitting. 1
