dombanks
My bro lives overseas and is prob going to move back here in the next yr or so. he keeps visiting and wants to buy a car. how do you go about registering and insuring a car if you don't have a permanent address yet? Sounds like he just wants to leave it at friends houses between visits. I didn't think you could register a car if you cant prove you live at the address and then there is the whole insuring it where its at for the largest amount of time thing? Mole
I believe he could buy it no problem..and be the legal owner.. Just need the name and address for registered keeper.. But I am sure more knowledgeable will give more detailed..

Probably best if he makes you the keeper and insures it for you both?
Blatman
Agreed. The registered keeper is not necessarily the legal owner...
