Meet at Quackers, Ashford-in-the-Water, DE45 1QA, 10am for the indirect route to The Rambler Inn, Edale taking in both Surprise View and the magnificent Winnat's Pass.

Bring your camera and bring your sunglasses😎:sun:

Glen has managed to get in the Westfield with the aid of a step and miraculously he managed to get out of it too, so he should be back with us 👍🙂

Weather is forecast to be perfect so who is joining us?

a good cup of strong coffee at Quackers is a good remedy😁

We did a test drive today, messes with your head though seeing a Westfield parked in the disabled bay at Quackers😃  Glen is hoping to be able to walk up from the normal car park on Sunday but please bear with him if he is a bit slow, the prospect of cake will spur him on 🥕

Assuming nothing falls off the car after going to the GBS Cars and Coffee on Saturday (and I can afford the fuel! 😂) I should be coming

You might get me along for the breakfast.

The 911 is at the dealer having a water pump replaced (luckily under warranty as it involves taking the engine out!). So they've given me an Electric Blue Cayman to have some fun in  Not as quick as the Targa but still a nice toy to play with.

Another great run out today.

My personal favourite moment was getting the split pack rescued at a roundabout and then getting caught off guard when your rescuer boots it into the distance.

I really need to work out how to get commission from Insta as it seems like everyone is getting them now. There should be plenty of great footage though which is good. Just a shame that the quality drops so much putting it through YouTube.

Golly, lots of photo's today but then again lots of people have been on their knees praying to the Westfield Gods that they get home with a full bottle of coolant😁, making for many excellent photo opportunities.

Glynn was first to arrive at Quackers and his car sounded wonderful now his throttle bodies have been fitted. He was soon joined by 11 more Westfield's, a RAW Striker, a VX220 and a Porsche, 15 cars in total, wow😍. Plus Paul and Margaret Hurdsfield who joined us for breakfast and collected a roll bar.

First car of many to have a wee wee today was Dave's

We were actually busy admiring Dave's new wheels, which have Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres on and having a fat, rounded shape just look amazing, perhaps the best set up I have ever seen on a Westfield. They really do look fantastic👍 have a look here

We all took a seat on the sun terrace and enjoyed our first refreshments of the day.

The long convoy set off down the 13 bends, up to Owler Bar for the cracking scenery on Surprise View before taking in the Winnat's Pass and Mam Nick. We pulled into the Rambler Inn, Edale in time for the next wee wee of the day which was from Lee who had a slight oil leak after over-tightening a nut.

Out came the tool box and the praying began

@HB46443 was greatly missed today and we hope that you are feeling ok after a spot of bad luck with one of these Westfield munching machines

We all departed our separate ways from the pub and with the lengthening days ABC, son Mad Dog Pete, Big Andy and Debs came with Glen and I to Adam's Happy Hen's where ABC treated us to tea and ice cream, THANKYOU.

Thank you to all that came today, to Rob for bringing Gregg (we need to see the Fisher Fury next time!), Julian on his second visit, newbie Barry who bought his sweet 10 years old son Tom, Martin out of hibernation and Si for coming all those miles PLUS all the regulars who are so great at making everyone feel welcome.

Great to see so many out today, the cars looked amazing and everyone seemed to get sorted in the end, but do please go and check your bottom hose on your radiator as it is the new fashion for it to leak.

Next weekend is Mother's Day so we will be reverting to cafe's as they are quieter than the pubs, see you then!
