I’m looking for a set of panels as per photo,

I know these were made by a fellow member a few years ago,

I saw on Facebook that @Paul Aspden (MoFast) had posted a possible solution that may work?

Based on the request from @Mark Redpath - WSCC Membership Secretary we started work immediately. Hope you have seen the email Mark.

I could do with a side photo and rear photo of one of these cars so I can measure the drop bar angles. Also what diameter is the bar BTW?

This is one of those products that was an absolute nightmare for anyone to try and make a universal version in a moulded composite, but  would suit a semi bespoke approach, with a 3D printed solution down to the ground.

I had a set of the grp type, they didn't fit my car, and were already third or fourth hand when I had them! Even those I've seen succesfully fitted, sometimes had a cm plus gap behind them to the bootbox, filled with silicon!

In a perfect world, you could say measure the distance from the inner most side of the rear stay, to the side of the boot box, and the "model" have that distance added to move the curved section in or out, to suit, before printing! Oh and it's not unusual for both sides to be different! (Well, it's a Westfield, after all!)

Hi Paul

defo a great start, I’ll get my rear stays fitted and get some dimensions and photos done 👍

And to throw another bit in, I have the long range tank so this adds another dimension into the mix

It almost needs the inner diameter of the cover plate to be a little wider than the roll bar tube which would allow some movement/adjustment on the cover plate against the boot box to allow for these discrepancies and then a finishing plate/cover that fits around the roll bar tube (as what's been produced already) which could then be attached to the cover plate??

Does this make any sense???🤪

Thanks all. I know their is lots to consider and these comments add real value to the finished model.

The beauty of doing these as 3D printed is that I can make the basic model parameter driven to allow nuancing.

I will get the basic design formulated.

@Mark Redpath - WSCC Membership Secretary because you started this I think you automatically become the victim for test fitting paper templates
