andyg0141 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 After a year’s ownership and having never drove let alone owned one before, I have caught the Westfield bug and have decided to either spend some more money making this car mint, or to go for an S2000 Westfield... As such, I thought I would offer this for sale on the forum for a couple of months to see if it sells and help me make my decision which route to go! It’s a fantastic car and I’ve spent a fortune on it over the past year. The car has had a replacement chassis early in its life (back in 2011) as many Westfield enthusiasts know. I bought the car unaware of this but have spoken to previous owners and garages that have worked on the car to try and determine the story of it which I now understand to be (happy if anyone has any further information as well): Crashed back in 2010 / 2011 Garage in Bristol re-built it on a replacement chassis (invoices for suspension arms / nose cone / steering parts etc which support this) All future invoices since this date support this (i.e., removal of reverse box in 2015 by the Scottish Kit Car Centre with plate welded into chassis instead which you can see has been done) Has had lots of money spent on it since and geometry set up etc and drives / handles fantastic! Positives 2010 Megabusa in Gulf colours 5,400 miles MOT until 13th May this year (previous MOT printouts in history folder and viewable online) Sequential 6 speed gearbox Fully registered, taxed and MOT’d, on 2010 plate; not a Q plate Megasquirt ECU and map – will include cable to connect to PC to map Mocal oil cooler Extreme engines billet sump with swinging pickup Gloss black 13” Team Dynamics wheels in great condition A few carbon bits including: Front mud guards Dash Tunnel top Boot cover Roll cage by “Caged” – FIA spec 2 keys and immobiliser No reverse box (did have one fitted but removed several years ago with invoice) Wilwood brakes Sierra diff Quick release steering wheel I have replaced a LOT of parts over the past 12 months; basically, anything its needed including: Replacement genuine clutch and EBC springs Clutch pedal pivot modified to improve travel and feel Oil pressure gauge added Various engine gaskets – no oil leaks at all Plugs Pipercross air filter Oil cooler and engine hoses (custom made in braided stainless) Various senders to ensure everything is working as it should CTEK battery indicator and trickle charge point fitted to dash Lots of wiring / connections improved to soldered connections with heatshrink Upgraded MOSFET rectifier fitted Perished fuel hose replaced ….the list goes on! Negatives Car has a replacement chassis as previously mentioned Bodywork is in good condition, but does have some cracks and spiders in various places and would benefit from some TLC Takes 3 attempts to start from cold. Believe this to be map related as it then starts perfectly first time once started that day; just not had a change to look at it Overall, this is an excellent Megabusa and would make a mint example with some TLC on the bodywork! All paperwork supplied with the car – including lots of invoices from 2010 through to 2022 detailing everything from screws to shocks. I also have an Ifor Williams CT115 single axle braked trailer which it fits perfectly (not the one in the photos) which will be for sale separately as I am upgrading to a larger trailer to accommodate other cars (would be looking for £1,750 for this; its nearly new). Viewing welcome in Glasgow and I would be also willing to meet a buyer halfway to hand the car over providing a deposit was paid before travel. £12,000 ONO (£13,750 inc trailer). Thanks, Andy
