I do miss Fred Dibnah, but to a point Guy is a good replacement, just the 1st of 6 videos in the series but a good watch all the same.

 

Shame he packed in the bike racing though, he would have won a TT at some point.

Thanks @OldStager  My father worked the train 46443 also shown in this programme.  We relived a photograph he had taken in his 20’s. When 75. Hence HB46443 is my membership and branding on the car.  Special train with our family.

Oh wow, that was coincidental wasn't it, I love steam trains, my father worked for BR and had loads of models in the house , I used to get told off as I thought they toys 😆 when I was a nipper. Just watching the rest of the series now, Guy copes well, but Fred did most if not all of these tasks as a job, and  was darn good at it to.
