Scariest moment in a Westy!

Had the car two weeks and decided to do the Croft Sprint in the rain. Positive camber on the rear and 2 deg of toe in. 10 year old Yokos. Made it round Clervaux and Hawthorn, through the Chicane and parallel parked it backwards 6 inches from the barrier :(

My life flashed before me, before the missus got hold of me :p

No harm done, appart from every marshal on the circuit knowing me and not taking the p*** at all

Hi Men

As we have drifted of the pure Westy stories here is mine.

Long time ago SAAB 95 Estate car and driven to a bachelor party. During the party had to much to drink and offered lots of me mates a lift home.

left party to find 9 guys waiting for lift, got them all in and proceded to drive home.

In meantime frost had come down and roads were icy. One of the guys lived up the top of one in seven hill (its Wales).

On the way up hill lost all traction and ended up driving backwards down unlit hill at about 50mph with brakes locked and passengers screaming .

Hit fence backwards sheared two concrete fence posts and ended up hanging over 20 foot drop to houses below.

Lights came on in houses and bloke in dressing gown threatening to break our necks for waking him up!

Passengers opened nearside door to "escape" and made the car list further over the drop!

Drivers door now activated and passengers and Crew made their escape on to road and could not stand up due to sheet ice!!!

Went back next day to recover car and could not believe how near to death we all were>
