Cockpit cover wanted

Thanks.  Nice tip about the blunt bit/drill in reverse. It does sound counter intuitive initially, but makes complete sense following your explanation.  🙂

Will reflect further on which way to go with this.  The initial plan was just to keep the interior tidy when in the garage, but now I'm using the car more I think it would be nice to have the proper tonneau to offer a small amount of protection/security when the car is left for a short while.  So maybe a bit of drilling we but unavoidable.

I've had them on pretty much all my Westfields; they're really handy. When parked, you'd be surprised how much light to moderately poor weather they'll keep out. I can't promise it will be bone dry inside, but your seats and floors don't usually look like swimming pools!

Security is a funny thing, it does amaze me how much casual fiddling, looking with hands and feet, as kids climb in, and so on, specially at shows that it stops. Even on the street, most people do seem to hold back when the Tonneau's closed!

On the move, one up in the car, with the passenger side, left covered, it helps enormously with keeping the swirling air in the cockpit under control. And of course, if you do get caught in any light rain, it stops the passenger seat headrest acting like a scoop to gather water in the seats base.

Likewise, if travelling with luggage in the passenger side, on tour etc, it really does stop it blowing around etc.

Good points, love my tonneau - I drive with a half door and tonneau (I never have a passenger) and find it so much more pleasant. When I tow the car with the tonneau on, really no rain comes in at all

I forgot the towing bit! Yes, trailered mine through quite heavy rain with the tonneau on, kept it nice and dry inside all the way to NMS!!

I think the ability to park without worry about 'casual fiddling' or unexpected showers would mean less circular drives and more trips to interesting destinations.  That might help win over my wife in terms of the 'funny noisy car' I bought. 🤣
