Westfield Experience Days

Richard Hill

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am considering building or purchasing a Westfield with the intention of doing some track days, but thought it would be good to try one out first, maybe by doing a Westfield Experience Day, particularly as my track experience is very limited. There seem to be a number of these commercially available. Does anyone have any experience of these and able to recommend one, or are there any other ways of approaching this?

Cheers,

Rich

If you get yourself along to a trackday that has a few of us at.. there'll be plenty of offers of passenger laps as a first step?

There's not much happening this time of year, although a few hardy souls are still at it. See the trackday section. 🙂

I did a Westfield experience day before I bought mine, which was donuts and general sliding about in a huge car park at Donnington, the instructor is the same guy who is at the kit car show each year doing the runs for punters.  I great day out, it didn't really give an experience of what it was like to drive the car, but it did answer a number of the questions I had about the car, like would I fit, should I have a windscreen, which shape looks best in real life and so on.

My main learning of the day is that it is easy to donuts, but difficult to do them where planned.

For the best Westfield experience, Go out to your garage in the middle of winter, peel some onions and set £20 notes on fire.

Don't forget to skin your knuckles on a cheese grater to get the full experience... 😢😂

The Westfield Factory sold the drift cars to - Mtechlite

They still use them to provide the drift experience at shows and events such as Stoneleigh and they organise their own drift experience days too.

Many thanks for your replies.

I see Mtechlite offer a 12 lap session at various tracks, so maybe that and a visit to one of your track days might be the way to go.
