I eased into retirement by getting stuck into a bathroom refurb the Monday after my last Friday at work. Did ‘work hours’ on it until it was finished, then it was Xmas, and I kind of slipped from Xmas into full-time retirement

Exactly what happened to me 9 years ago now. Didn't really want to retire for another 2 or 3 years but the offer was just too good. 

I've never regretted it for a minute......

A point of order….I think the correct phrase is ‘indicate willingness to be considered for compulsory redundancy’…..just in case HMRC are listening.

Just coming up to 3 yrs for me. Took 6 months to stop thinking I was due back in work.
