retiring today, early, but the voluntary redundancy offer was too good to pass up. Feels odd having been with Nissan that long

Enjoy it Mark!

Enjoy it, you have done well! If I’d stopped I would have been there about 30 years 😮 I’d be a broken man 😂

My missus coined the term ‘retundancy’ for just these situations :)

Hopefully you needed a large wheelbarrow for the cash.

…and I sincerely doubt you’ll regret this!!

I eased into retirement by getting stuck into a bathroom refurb the Monday after my last Friday at work. Did ‘work hours’ on it until it was finished, then it was Xmas, and I kind of slipped from Xmas into full-time retirement :)

Exactly what happened to me 9 years ago now. Didn't really want to retire for another 2 or 3 years but the offer was just too good.

I've never regretted it for a minute......

A point of order….I think the correct phrase is ‘indicate willingness to be considered for compulsory redundancy’…..just in case HMRC are listening.

Just coming up to 3 yrs for me. Took 6 months to stop thinking I was due back in work.

Finished end July after nearly 41 years working. Best thing I ever did.

Don't miss work one bit 😁
