corsechris Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 My missus coined the term ‘retundancy’ for just these situations Hopefully you needed a large wheelbarrow for the cash. …and I sincerely doubt you’ll regret this!! I eased into retirement by getting stuck into a bathroom refurb the Monday after my last Friday at work. Did ‘work hours’ on it until it was finished, then it was Xmas, and I kind of slipped from Xmas into full-time retirement Quote

Feels odd having been with Nissan that long Exactly what happened to me 9 years ago now. Didn't really want to retire for another 2 or 3 years but the offer was just too good. I've never regretted it for a minute...... Quote
corsechris Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 A point of order….I think the correct phrase is ‘indicate willingness to be considered for compulsory redundancy’…..just in case HMRC are listening. Quote
Arm Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Just coming up to 3 yrs for me. Took 6 months to stop thinking I was due back in work. Quote
