jeff oakley
Two years ago I did my bike test and then bought a new Triumph Street Twin, I was 61 at the time. When my wife was telling her friend, she gave a knowing look and asked "midlife crisis"? My wife just said "his whole life has been one crisis after another so this is nothing new" I liked that as at 61 if this is a midlife one I am going to live to 120😀
Gary Taylor
Welcome, and you’ll not regret making the jump
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
Welcome, you've come a similar route to me. I've had a few hot hatches, including a Mini Coupe Cooper S, Puma 1.7, Golf GTi etc and a highly modified Mini R53 JCW (that I still have).... I'm now on my second Westfield, no hot hatch really compares!

Somerset Jim
Far cheaper to change a car than to change your wife - so if you're going to have multiple mid life crises then buying fast cars / bikes is the way to do it (he says with 3 cars and 17 bikes 😀). You won't regret it, you'll feel younger and your cholesterol levels will reduce.
SootySport
It’s been one continuous Mid Life Crisis for me since about 30, now 70. Just don’t seem to be able to get out of it.
NigelO
I've just turned 60 and I'm on my fifth mid-life crisis (or I'm still having my first after almost 20 years...) Bought a Ferrari F355 in 2002 - REALLY couldn't afford it, but had a great couple of years with it Bought a Buell X1 Lightning in 2004 (barmy Harley-engined V-twin streetfighter bike- truly mad). Sold after about three years of realising that biking solo is a bit boring. Bought a Fiat Coupe in 2010 to replace the previous one that went rusty. Over 11 years I took it from 220bhp (already fairly quick) to 488bhp - utterly ballistic - proper turbo-nutter car, but with way more style than the usual Jap fodder. Bought my Westfield in 2018 as a four-wheeled replacement for the bike - restored my enthusiasm for tinkering Sold the Fiat a couple of months ago and bought an Aston Martin V8 Vantage last month SWMBO has given up tutting now..... 😉 So, OP - welcome to the mid-life crisis corner of WSCC - you're in great company! 1
