Kingster Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Anyone got a tyre rack going spare? To suit my Brian James micro max trailer, but no doubt anything can be modified with an angry grinder and welder 😁
Mark (smokey mow) Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 There’s one on FB market place at the mo in Colchester for £250 but it might be a bit of a trek for you unless you can arrange a wscc courier. 1

Andy - a15cro Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 I’ve just been asked this morning if I can fabricate one for the lad I sold that other trailer too!
Kingster Posted November 5, 2021 Author Posted November 5, 2021 I might have one lined up - just waiting on measurements and a means to get it cross country!
BenD Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 I'm not sure if there all the same but my Brian James trailer is galvanised. So would assume the tyre rack will be as well. Not teaching you to suck eggs but welding galvanize is pretty bad for you and your gonna need specific sticks or wire. And a respirator and maybe the ambulance for after
BenD Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Also I'm sure Brian James know what there doing but putting 4 wheels and tyres on the nose of you trailer. Make sure the nose weight of your tow bar can take it

Make sure the nose weight of your tow bar can take it I've got the same trailer as @Kingster and the official BJ rack (snigger) - I thought the same thing so I redrilled the mounting holes to push the rack as close toward the trailer centre as I could. In practice, I was restricted by Lionels windscreen but if was Westie only it could have gone back a touch further. 1

Craigib76 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Yeah it’s not good when welded it releases zinc oxide which has some nasty effects especially respiratory trouble
