Per the WhatAp message earlier, please find the detail below.

 

If you are able to go along - then please message me and John Dolan - club Chairman.

 

Chris' daughter Holly contacted the club asking if club members could attend the funeral on the 15th November (Monday) in their Westfields.

John Dolan  has spoken to Holly (Chris Smiths Daughter) and requested support from the club as follows:-

 

Chris Smith’s funeral. Monday, 15th November.

 

14 Westfields will be able to follow the funeral cortège. Please be at the funeral director’s’ ready to leave at 13.30.

Ceremony will be held at 14.10. Only invitees into the crematorium please, service will be broadcast outside.

 

The wake will be at Dunsley Hall. Note that this will be a private family affair.

We have permission to park 25 Westfields in front of the hall, and we can marshal this to secure the area. These 25 will be in addition to the 14 in the cortège, the cortège should park in the overspill car park if there is not enough room in the front car park. Do not block access for the funeral director’s cars.

Trevor Little, AO Representative, will contact area AO’s, and ask for firm commitments to attend. Space is at a premium, and we need to put on the best show for Chris and his family.

 

Westfield Sports Cars Ltd will be making their own arrangements.

 

The  request for help

Please can you contact members in your local area and ask them if they would be able to support the club/Holly and attend the funeral in their Westfield. I appreciate that some of you are a  long distance from Stourbridge, but the club wanted to provide the members with the opportunity to attend.

Please reply to this message with any updates on members able to attend.
