Sold - Westfield Sprint Car For Sale - great spec and proven car

Hi All,

 

I am thinking of changing class next year or possibly moving into circuit racing in formula fords, so I am putting up for sale my Westfield Sprint car.  It is very well known in the sprinting community as the previous owner John Loudon developed the car very well and did great in the car both with class wins and class records on the way.  similarly i have had many class wins and records in my first season of sprinting with the car, so its well proven and very adaptable as it could be used in mod prod, road going(all the spares are included in the sale to put it back to road going), or move it to circuit racing

 

Road registered (but currently SORN) and complete with MSA competition car passport

Chassis

• Strengthened and uprated 1989 narrow body SE chassis by Procomp
• Full Caged roll cage
• Wide track rose jointed front suspension with aluminium hubs
• Quantum double zero adjustable dampers correctly valved for car

Engine

• Dry sumped Puma 1700 engine built and maintained by Protune running on Jenvey TBs and Emerald K6 ECU producing circa 220bhp / 150 ft/lb torque and revving freely and safely to near 9000rpm
• Ultralight steel flywheel with 7.25" Quarter Master clutch
• Piper cams
• Flowed head
• Bonnet exit exhaust into Techcraft silencer

Lots of spares included including standard spare engine, drive shafts, rear arches, engine spares, brand new front and rear hawke brake pads, engine and gearbox oil, etc.

 

I have further invested in the car over the past couple of years as follows:

• Refreshed the steering rack and had a brass bush installed by historic motorsport in Exeter
• Car fully corner weighted by Empire Racing Cars and Triple M in 2021
• Elite gearbox has been fully refreshed as follows – 2 hours running time in total since
  • Upgraded gearbox actuator 
  • New gear finger selector – new dog rings 
  • Service and inspection 
• Upgraded drop gear bearings
• Data logging system installed which is linked up to the Emerald ECU (Optional extra to be potentially included in the sale)
  • Race Technology Dash 4 Pro linked into a DL1 Club

Car has run in modified specialist production this season.  in my 1st season of sprints, the  results have been good with lots of 1st place class victories at Goodwood, Curborough, Blyton and Castle Coombe in the HSA, Longton MC, Bristol Motor Club champs.  Regularly finished in the top 10 overall at the sprints beating a few single seaters on the way
