Just seen the WF megabusa unfinished project come up on eBay which was originally purchased in 2004. It got me wondering how many kits Westfield has sold that have never been completed and are gathering dust in someone’s garage. I bought my near complete car in 2019 that was a 2015 factory order. On the road in Nov 20 due to delays with IVA’s due to Covid. I wonder if WF have a log of VIN numbers against SVA/IVAs?

Mine was a 1999 produced kit that sat half done in a garage. Iva'd and registered in 2020.

Same here, mine is a 2013 kit, I have a few more jobs to complete and then I can apply for my IVA.

It’s not quite that simple as the DVLA don’t notify manufacturers when a car is registered. Consider also the volume that are sold abroad and the differences with foreign registration and then add in the number that are built purely for racing or as track cars.

I’ll have a guess though and estimate that 1in10 take longer than 5 years to be completed.

That’s a UB40 song and it took me over 5 years. Not on the road yet but hopefully soon.

Mine was manufactured in 1996 and still isn't in the road! 🤣

I'm not far off though. IVA hopefully this year, on the road next spring. 🤞

To be fair, I've only had it for 6 of the 25 years it has been in existence...
