fildyke Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Before I start trawling tinternet does anyone have any AN-6 aeroquip style hose connectors which are surplus to requirements. Not too fussed about colour or make. Cheers Phil
TAFKARM Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I cant help with your request but having just AN'd my oil and fuel system, unless you're trying to save grams, I'd get the hoses made in steel by a local hydraulic place. I had one done, yes a little heavier, but way more durable IMO, the fitting doesn't get scratched, they don't leak because they are crimped on and the crimp has a burst pressure of 1800 psi... And it was cheaper.
fildyke Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 Ok thanks russ. I already have braided motorsport hoses fitted and AN fittings on the high pressure side of the system but planned to change the fittings on the low pressure side to my swirl pot as the existing jubilee clips do get the odd leak. Its def worth considering tho if I upgrade the hoses in the future. Did the air intake work? Cheers Phil

Glen_I Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I may have some straight connectors, will have a count up over the weekend and see if that's the case. I used Motorsport Tools for my fittings, seemed the best price at the time and delivery was always quick https://www.motorsport-tools.com/motorsport-parts/hoses-fittings/an-fittings/motamec.html?SID=le5n61t28h9t69fsi3realmbg4
fildyke Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 Ok thanks glen. Appreciate they're not particularly expensive till you add up how many you need. Cheers Phil
Paul Aspden (MoFast) Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I used the motamec fittings in my build and they work a treat at a very good price. https://www.motamec.com/ 1

Not sure what the setup is but I was under the impression the brand is part of Motorsport Tools as all my fittings are branded Motamec ordered from Motorsport Tools.
Paul Aspden (MoFast) Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I also have some spare still brand new but I don’t where they are right now. Will dig through the the post build pile later. Actually there’s a topic “How big was your post build pile” 2
fildyke Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 That was the theory behind my thread. They're the sort of bits everyone has spare but can't be bothered to get rid of so sit unloved in a draw/pile somewhere.
Glen_I Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Sorry mate, I failed.....I thought I had more than I do as I normally over order but clearly not this time🤔
Crash test dummy Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 I have a good selection. Exactly what do you need?
fildyke Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 Nothing fancy, AN-6 straight couplers for standard braided hose, not ptfe. I need 10 in total to upgrade the plumbing on my fuel system.
