JRay Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 (edited) Hi folks, Just replaced the seats in my ‘96 SE, so looking to sell the originals. They need a good clean (nothing some APC won’t remove) but otherwise in ok condition. Frames are good, and runners are adjustable. Ideal to drop in, or would work well for re-covering. Sold with no headrests, they weren’t with the car at purchase. Looking for £50/chair so £100 total. buyer must collect from B74 Sutton Coldfield. thanks, james Edited October 11, 2021 by JRay
Hairy toes eagle Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I got really excited when I saw this, but sadly the colour wouldn't work. Just out of interest where did you get your new ones?

If it's black your after , just buy a dye kit , it comes with cleaner , dye and conditioner , it's really effective and doesn't wear off , or do as my brother has done Blossom shoe polish black over beige Saab seats in his T4 van , been done fore last 4 years , it just needs a couple of days to fully dry and again seems hard wearing
Hairy toes eagle Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Thanks for the swift reply, I'll give that some thought. Did you manage to find brand new ones to replace these? I apologise for the question and realise your not really the right person to ask as your trying to sell your old ones.
JRay Posted September 26, 2021 Author Posted September 26, 2021 Hi, I bought some 2nd hand to fit. Newer style with the high back. Couldn’t find these more classic style anywhere unless you want to pay £6-700/seat! As it happens I did look into the leather die products and they seems pretty good, didn’t go for it as I don’t have the headrests. Wanted some head support, otherwise I’d have given it a try. Seen really good reviews on how effective and long-lasting the process is. I reckon about £100 for the right-sized kit of stuff. 👍 cheers
JRay Posted September 26, 2021 Author Posted September 26, 2021 Ps, planning to do the leather “paint” on the side panels and dash to match new seats!
Hairy toes eagle Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Wow, they look perfect. I'm not ashamed to say........ I'm jealous of your seats. 1
Tuner58 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Mgb or Midget headrests should fit those seats ( along with most single post Austin Rover / Leyland one`s ) 1

I have been searching for some for my '97 SEW (moulded arches like yours) but I can't find any suppliers. Thanks!
JRay Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 @Flying_Westie sorry, no idea, bought the car with them! I’ll have a look in my receipts book if I have anything for them. Cheers
