Road legal go kart......

Will be interesting to see how he makes a go kart road legal😳

The awful Merc AMG/Mustang creation is pushing the boundaries on being road legal from my understanding, he's running it on the full Merc AMG floor pan and running gear but the original Mustang V5 and also not MOT'ed as the Mustang as standard qualifies for Historic status🙄

Even though it's a massively modified he reckons DVLA say it qualifies for MOT exemption still because hes fitted 'more efficient' running gear goodness me!🤣🤷🏾‍♂️

Would be amazed if he got out of any town on that, given the pot hole and speed bumps everywhere scenarios!

Intrigued to see how he's going to do it!

As no way it will pass a IVA🙄

So how else can he be planning on doing it?🤔

I'm wondering if hes going to do it like one of those little mobility cars you see old people driving on the road?🤷🏾‍♂️

I expect he will go down the heavy quadricycle route of MSVA rather than IVA but they need to keep the engine to under 20bhp.

Ah right👍

Wonder if there is a required height for lights?🤔

You'd have to be nuts to drive that on the road. You feel vulnerable enough in a 7 in traffic with hgvs alongside etc imagine it in that deathtrap. Even a Chelsea tractor would be up and over the top of you never mind a hgv.

Doing that to a ‘69/‘70 Mustang should be an offence 🤮

500mm-1200mm for the headlights but as it’s under 1.3m wide it will only need the one.
