Boombang Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Can I ask why you are selling up? Post history suggests you were looking at cars in early August and this has been for sale since September. That and responding to how long you have owned it above might help what looks like suspiciously short ownership. Especially helpful if car isn't known. That said a search of the reg VX04WUE links to Marshall Taylors of Kidderminster with images of this car from December 2020. They appear to be a car accident repair specialist. Any idea about this part of the car's history?
Ol Toomzy Posted December 20, 2021 Author Posted December 20, 2021 Thank you for your post. I have only owned the car since August. Unfortunately I have had a slipped disc in the past, which has now healed as well as it can, but driving the Westy has caused problems for my back again and I just can’t take the risk of having back issues again. I will now look to buy something like a Z3 or Z4 as it’s still a convertible but easier on the back. I had been for a test drive in a Westy and thought my back would be fine but after several drives out in my Westy, this isn’t the case. As for being at Marshalls, the stripe down the centre was originally done in vinyl and the previous owner decided to get rid of the vinyl and have the stripe painted on, hence being at a business that can paint vehicles. Hope this answers your question

I'm not familiar with this particular tyre, but in general winter tyres tend to be a bit softer than "ordinary" summer tyres, so they might be an inspired choice IF for some reason you don't want to use a trackday type of tyre. Personally, I'd favour a trackday tyre on a lightweight kitcar liek a Westy, even if I had no intention of taking it on track. But plenty of people do prefer to use an ordinary road tyre on these cars, so maybe the winter type isn't such a bad idea?
