BigSkyBrad Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 It was my turn to cook on the weekend, so it was a Westie-themed pie! To be precise it was a bacon’n’egg pie, which is very popular back home in NZ. Any caring mother teaches their sons this pie before kicking them out the nest – it’s a great batchelor’ meal, have it hot out the oven with spuds and veg/salad, and have the leftover pie cold for lunch the next day. Here's the recipe, if anyone wants to give it a go. Kiwi bacon and egg pie.doc 6 Quote
cast iron Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 tends to be called Quiche in the Uk and doesn't have the lid on Quote
BigSkyBrad Posted September 1, 2021 Author Posted September 1, 2021 Really? You mean Quiche that's made with beaten eggs and short pastry, as opposed to whole eggs and puff pastry. Make it and tell me it's the same as quiche! Quote
