It was my turn to cook on the weekend, so it was a Westie-themed pie!

To be precise it was a bacon’n’egg pie, which is very popular back home in NZ. Any caring mother teaches their sons this pie before kicking them out the nest – it’s a great batchelor’ meal, have it hot out the oven with spuds and veg/salad, and have the leftover pie cold for lunch the next day.

Really? You mean Quiche that's made with beaten eggs and short pastry, as opposed to whole eggs and puff pastry. Make it and tell me it's the same as quiche!
