the stoat
Looks good, I hope you have fun with it 😀 Just really watch the oil pressure when on track with a C20XE, especially under braking given the tyres you have on it.
Craigib76
It has a shallow sump and remote filter and oil cooler how Best to monitor the pressure I have an available port on the digi dash I can use if this is the best way regards Craig
the stoat
I would say there really is no best way, it will come down to personal preference. I bought a standalone unit from Spa Designs and also a very bright pressure warning light that triggers at 21psi. If you can do it through the dash and get a suitable (very visible) low pressure warning that will be the least effort. If it is the usual finned shallow sump you will like need baffling for track use, without it you can watch the oil pressure tumble as you brake and it long corners. SootySport
I have no problems with oil pressure and no oil cooler, as long as you have a baffled sump and windage tray you’ll be ok. Just need to keep the oil level at max on a trackday, checking at lunch time. Red tops rock!
Craigib76
Been looking through the folders of receipts and info for the car and found that the sump is from SBD Motorsport, it is a baffled shallow sump i will look at fitting another sensor or sender and gauge cheers Craig
