Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Hi, Assuming the weather holds out, a few of us are going to attend the "Coleshill Breakfast Club" meet tomorrow morning that's being held near Tamworth. We are planning to leave Ashby Services (just off the M42, LE65 1JP) at 845am, with a run through down the backroads to land at the event at 915am where we'll meet up with @HB46443 at the gate. The address for the meet is: Birch Coppice Miners Welfare, Watling St, Dordon, Tamworth B78 1SY It's £3 per car on the gate (cash or card), with proceeds to charity and there's normally a good turnout of interesting classics, kits and yank tanks. 2 Quote
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Have a great day folks, hopefully we will be back in action in the Peak District next weekend now 1) my car is fully functioning and when 2) we are not on holiday (off to N.Yorks tomorrow) that's for anyone who isn't going to Stoneleigh. We have decided not to go because Glen's knee is just getting worse and worse (he is on the long, long waiting list for a knee replacement) I will cross my fingers for some good weather for you all. Don't gorget the piccies! 1 Quote
Andy Westwood Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Hi Rob I'll see you at Ashby if you don't mind me tagging along Quote
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted August 22, 2021 Author Posted August 22, 2021 We had a fun morning, meeting up with @Andy Westwood and Ben at Ashby. Andy and I had to act as the "reverse gear" for Ben's MNR (good old bike engined cars! 😂) before we had a quick run down the back roads. We had already planned to meet with @HB46443and @jumbojack to make five of us, so it was an added bonus when @Dale Hodgkins joined us, quickly followed by another 3 Westfields in convoy! We almost outnumbered the yank tanks! 😂 It made for a great morning mooching around the various classics, muscle cars and restomods. See you all next time 👍 3 Quote
Andy Westwood Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Thanks Rob for a great morning out. It was great to meet everyone. I've never been to this meet before. Ir was very good with a great mix of cars. We even found a beautiful Ratrod and it has smaller wiper blades than our Westfield. 1 Quote
