For those with spare time - 24 hour race

Spa 24 hours ( Live) , started a tad over two hours ago.

Can be rewound to start if required.

Yeah, I believe 2 of the 4 drivers involved went to hosp, one being the Williams reserve driver, not heard how that are yet today. It always worries me with live broadcast that even hours after the crash no mention is made on how they  are doing, I was watching the 2013 Le Mans race where the same thing happened .

Aitken suffered fractured vertebrae and a broken collarbone

 

No idea how the 2nd driver is as yet.

Also in a less than happy situation, can I say thanks to all marshals at UK events you put your lives at risk for what is after all 'entertainment', I used to do the same at events like  the RAC rally and local ones.

 

A marshal died yesterday at Brands following a car leaving the circuit.

 

Thoughts go to friends and family.

Well that's that for another 12 months, great race ( although I fell asleep at 2am !!) the last hour was great with the deluge of rain, with the last 20 mins being some of the best wet weather racing I have seen for years. Hope all injured get back on track soon.

I think much of that is to do with Doctor/Patient and immediate family confidentiality and privacy.

Yes you are correct, just wish they would keep the viewers informed, but I fully get the sensitive nature of such occurrences.
