Aintree home of the British GP , about 12 miles up the East Lancs Rd from me . I never knew it existed till well after The GP changed venue to Brands or Silverstone . There wasn't much coverage in the good old days

Aintree is a sprint round in our championship. It is inside the race track and outside the golf course used for support vehicle etc during the horse races

Terry Ive been to 5 or 6 sprint meets , was also a member of Liverpool car club who organise sprint meets , I was talking about the old days long before you arrived on the scene

 

Unfortunately these days the  Aintree spectator viewing is abismal to say the least, There wasnt much of the old full track that wasn't viewable from the grandstands .

 

Last time I went was the Revival meeting , it was the final time the full circuit was used
