Bungee Posted June 12, 2021 Posted June 12, 2021 Hello everyone. Not exactly a part I'm after but still a wanted. Unless anyone does have said sticker spare. The previous owner of my 98' speed sport 1800 took the sticker off the rear. If anyone has a speed sport 1800 of the era and could take a picture, looking straight at the sticker, that would be great so I can scale/replicate it. It's says Westfield top left of rear of tub then the bit I'm missing says "speed sport" with "1800" within a lozenge shaped border to the side and below the "Westfield" Believe only on 98-2000 or maybe only the 98-2000 scholar engined versions, which this is. In certain light conditions I can barely make it out from UV affecting the gelcoat where it was but not enough to trace it etc. Apologies for rambling request🙂 Many thanks. Ben.
Paul Aspden (MoFast) Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I have this rear shell in the storage container an i think it has the graphics you seek. I will take a really decent picture tomorrow if you like
Bungee Posted June 18, 2021 Author Posted June 18, 2021 Hello Paul. I have managed to find a brochure with the same logo as my "98" so getting some cut now. Seems the logo changed (like most things on a westy) by 2000. A very kind offer though, many thanks. Ben

Bungee Posted June 18, 2021 Author Posted June 18, 2021 That sort of says mine is "kit" bodywork then? It's 01/08/98 registered. Zeiw chassis number. Would that be correct? Be handy to clarify if I sell the lockable boot lid, need spare bodywork etc.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 ZEiW was the code for the homologated factory build cars from the nineties, that could be sold into Europe, at the time. From memory, it's essentially Kit Bodywork, but with the occasional difference; so there was a version of the "V8" style bonnet that had an off-set bonnet bulge to the drivers side. - This was to clear the Ford OEM fuel injection manifold on one of the engines. Likewise, some of the tubs from back then, had solid bodywork behind the front wheel, just behind the nose cone, where normally on kits it's open.
Paul Aspden (MoFast) Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Looks like this thread has moved on but if anyone else reads here are the pictures from @Steve (stevel)s old car

Paul Aspden (MoFast) Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 @OldStager are you and @Steve (stevel) in roughly the same location. I need an excuse to drive it more so if you want I can come over with it.
Richard (OldStager) Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 i will pm you, but yes not that far apart as long as has not moved from where i remember him saying he was. all this was about 10 years ago, and i wasnt a member back then, but he was kind enough to let me join you lot at the green man. there was one shall i say incident... during one of the evening runs out and its the reason i remember his blue car so vividly.
