Wanted 2.0 Modified Pinto Engine Now building my own engine

Decided to stay old school with my SE and now that I have managed to get the car registered and IVA regs are no longer an issue. Maybe a good 2.0 with uprated head and cam would be nice. I have some 40 Webers plus a good ignition system and a Westfield exhaust and sump fitted onto the 1.8 I am running which is great but is a bit slow.

I do not mind an engine needing a refresh or the main parts to enable me to build one.

Just bought a Westy with a 2.0 pinto , we will not be using it as are updating to a more modern engine . Looks to have a cam in it and has a vernier pulley fitted and head may have been worked slightly from what we can see . Looking for £750 for engine complete with everything Inc twin 40 dellortos or £500 without carbs . Pm me or 07971264550 (Julian)... based in Gloucestershire.

Thanks for reply. I have just started on my 2.0 but not very far into it. Do you have any detailed info ie type of cam I guess its hard to say re the head but its where most of the work is needed. I have a set of Webers

I can take the cam cover off and have a look for any numbers if of interest but sounds like you're on the way now .
