Hi all,

 

I'm after a hood bag for my 1997 SEW.

 

Looking for something like what Soft Bits sell and thought I'd check here before ordering one. Looking for something like this :

You could use a camera tripod bag.

That's a  good suggestion. Would it be easy to add the velcro hoops and locks so that it is secured to the roll bars? And are they wife e iigh as the hood rolled up still takes a lot of space.

 

Or do you know if one that would fit?

I have one I bought for the full roof but never used it. Let me go look for it and will get you a picture.

That looks good but think I would need one that's a little wider as 10cm isnt wide enough once it's rolled up as I measured it to be around 14cm and don't want to risk damaging the plastic bar that attaches to top of windscreen.

 

I'll check on Google and see if I can find one that's the same but a little wider.

Struggle to remember what length but they are all 20cm diameter. Fits my full hood in no issue. 

 

As for velcro straps...it comes with a long carry strap that you can unclip from each end. Can just run this around each side of rollbar.

Thanks, Ive been googling and found other sizes with a diameter of 16cm but this 20cm one looks much better and it's a great price too!

I got the one suggested by Morgan100 from eBay for only £17.79 posted (100cm version) and it fits my folded hood perfectly!! 

 

It's wide enough that I don't risk breaking the plastic channel which is so fragile.
