interesting scenario. I've changed classes an i now run in the slicks class, albeit I've stayed on treaded tyres! Mallory didn't give a warm up lap, it was dummy grid, to grid, then race start, I knew the best option was to pressure the slicks guys at the start, or even let them fly by, knowing they would have colder tyres, and lose it in the earlier corners, see Pug in first video and Caterham in second video  😉
