Hi there from Staffordshire

Just saying hello and wondering if anyone knows this westy SEIW Q259ERT 1997 2 owners first one for 16 years

I have some history receipts of engine rebuild and other bits,

Anyway the engine is fine she runs great starts first time with a couple of stamps on the go pedal ( no choke needed) 1700cc Crossflow twin 40,s Dellorto, which I am totally happy with as I'm at that age I have owned Escort, Cortina, Capri, and wished I still had them all,

The paint work is not perfect but slowly being sorted, the interior was Red and tired so that has gone, I have improvised for now as carpets and trim ordered from Westfield was an 8 week lead time when ordered in Jan now I think its a 3year lead time,

there were a few gauges not working when I brought her but there sorted now,

so this is my new hobby to bring her back to life as a nice westy as I think she has had no TLC for a while

I am in Staffordshire but she maybe seen around Tewksbury area through the summer as I have a Static and Boat down there so may leave her down there as some nice driving roads in that area,

Ho I have changed the seats Ashley lived to close for me to refuse, and its a struggle to keep away from the other shiny carbon bits he has lol,

look forward to meeting people in the future

:ww: @Robert Hughes from North Staffs. Car looks great. Can't say I've seen it before though, sorry.

We're often out in the peaks and it would be good to see you and your car once we're 'released back into the wild', by Bo Jo.

Equally there used to be good breakfast meets at Curborough Sprint Course on a Saturday morning. Time to talk, look at each others cars and look and listen to whatever's being abused on the track! I hope they will be returning too.

Thanks Ian I noticed Curborough meet, Im about 10-15 mins away just outside Lichfield

I may try and stay away from trackday for a bit as I have been there before I haven't got any of those trousers anymore, the ones where the pockets go down to your ankles and beyond ha ha.

Welcome from another Staffordshire owner - hopefully when lockdown is over, we'll see you on one of the cake-laden Peak District drives out. It will be nice to see yet another colour scheme in the winding line of Westies

I'm also only a stone's throw from Curborough, so we must be pretty close to each other - I'm in Rugeley.

Hi I'm near you too in the Cannock area

Nice looking car. I agree with the others that it would be nice to see you at the Peak district meets.

Hi, Lovely car you have there, if you want to come and explore the roads of the Peak District please keep an eye on the EVENTS section and hopefully soon we will be back out. All club members are welcome.

I have checked the Curborough website and there is no mention of the breakfast meets yet. I have a man here fast running out of their famous 'Purple Metal Polish' so we will be meeting there just as soon as we can.

Julie (and Glen the man who really does polish the exhaust)

Welcome, nice looking car!

I'm also fairly local to you in Swadlincote and when I'm not in the Peaks I'm often around the Barton, Blithfield area meeting with a few local owners.

Hopefully we'll see you out soon 👍

Hi and welcome from another Staffordshire owner not too far away from you in Tamworth. Hope to see you around Curborough, the Peaks and maybe some of our runs around the Cotswolds?
