Hi, does anyone have any fuel tank straps lying about they need to be rid of.

I haven't but I made mine myself. The WF ones were shockingly badly made.

 

Have you considered this approach?

I wouldn't mind having a go, but haven't got any off cuts to use, what metals did you use and where did you buy it from?

My ally straps had come lose and I couldn't get to the fixing points, so I used a small ratchet strap over the tank round the box and fastened on top of the tank ,it's absolutely solid no movement at all

I can't give you specifics unfortunately as I did the straps about 5+ years ago now but 'I think' I bought 2 strips of 1.5mm x 45mm x 750mm Aluminium off Ebay for £6. Then measured what lengths the sections needed to be and where the bends were needed and then folded them as required in a vice.

Agreed, mine didn’t do a great job when it came to stopping the tank moving...
