ahhhhhhhhhh all sorted. AND YES MY SPEAKERS WERE TURNED ON!!!

redownloaded codec and works

howdy again.

I try to run a game but it said it cannot initialise OpenGL.

I take it i require the driver. Mmmmmmmmmm the fujitsu siemens website is all complicated and confused me.

Can anyone whos really clever at PC work help me please?

What game is it you can't play then?

Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed?

A bit of research seems to show that XP already has OpenGL. I don't remember ever installing it on my machine (running XP), and haven't found a game that doesn't work yet.

I cant play medal of honour :(

I havent got the drivers due to the fact i made my pc FUBAR  :durr:  :durr:  :durr:  :durr:  :(  :(  ???  ???  ???

ah...prebuilt computers pah...waste of everybodys time.

try the rescue disk?

is it onboard vga and sound?

if agp gfx, is agp set correctly in bios?

have you looked an sites like planet medal of honour for faq's. have you patched the game to the latest version?

so many possibilities. is there no 'minigl'

www.mohaa.com forum adresses the opengl issue...but i'll be ####*d if i'm gonna look for you

Wanted to build my own for less but lack of time :(

Onboard dealies, theres no room for a f*****n graphics card (Want Ge Force 4) to fit in this tiny thing!!!

not on recovery disk

ill check BIOS.

I usually build my own but these days if you find the right deal you can buy a package for quite a bit less than the cost of the bits  :arse:

IIRC last one I bought was P4 1800Mhz, 256Mb, 40Gb, DVD, CDR, GeForce 2, WinXP for ~£700.

true. mines cost ~900 so far an equivalent spec pc from the shops would be about 1500 at the time....plus i have absolutely no generic components and it is well futureproofed too!!

It was also very intereting and suprisingly easy.

mmmmmmmmmmmm. ive checked in BIOS and increased the apeture of the AGP to 256

no change.

Ive also noticed since my stupidity episode that when playing videos in full screen mode they jump. No a smooth continuing picture  :(
