I have a boss, but I have a sneaky suspicion it's for the allegro (never sounds as exotic does it!)

 

Do you know what the differences are?

Allegro is 48 spline not sure about the escort

Merlin motorsport website states 40 splines and 17.5 diameter shaft.

 

Mine is about 19.5-20mm ish so guessing Super-Allegro-Vanden-Plas-Sport.

Think I have a Ford one in the garage bought in error as had Allegro before going QR any idea what the part number should be

Sorry took me a while to get into garage and look it’s a box for a m1026x which is an old style Ford boss but it doesn’t look like images I can find, the other one is for an old Mk1/2 Golf with a Mountney flat bottom steering wheel

I purchased this one to fit my SE column. It was a tight fit on splines but I then found one that fitted a steering wheel that had an IVA pad so did not use it. The steering wheel hole centres are 70mm. Any interest get back to me.

I have a Mk2 escort base for the steering boss

i have it left over as mine is a Sierra column but I could only get a raid fitment boss in Mk2 escort 

so I swapped the bottoms

yours for the postage if you want it
