Sad news, must admit I wasn't aware of his back story.. 

 

RIP  John Crichton-Stuart, the seventh Marquess of Bute.

Yes very sad, also a shame that he wasn't able to show his full potential in F1 due to Senna's priority in the team!

We had so many British "nearly men" in the 80's and Johnny was one of the most talented, he was totally dominant in British F3 the year after the amazing Senna/Brundle battle for the championship.

I met him as his physio lived in kings Lynn and was a friend of mine. A really nice down to earth guy who took a real interest in the work I was doing with my dad tuning two stroke outboard engines..
