Richard (OldStager)
Hi, I need to sell my old wheels, and it has been suggested that I do so on some of the Classic Ford or Fast Ford forums. Having signed up to a few of them they all need a minimum post count before ads can be placed! . I know why they do that but it's really annoying when I don't have a Ford of any kind, so my posts will be pretty useless regarding Fords. Anyone on here, or perhaps someone you know a member of any of these please?. All I want to do is move on my Allycat wheels, grrrrr Richard. . TAFKARM
Is there a Facebook group you / someone you know could put them in?
Richard (OldStager)
No idea, I'm not into social media, if anyone is I would be very grateful. I don't see the point of pretending I own a MK1 Escort posting 20 odd posts of rubbish to qualify to advertise on a 'for sale' section. Quite frustrating really . Good idea though. Blatman
Make sure they don't have a rule similar to our where posting on behalf of non members is generally not allowed... 16 hours ago, OldStager said: I don't see the point of pretending I own a MK1 Escort posting 20 odd posts of rubbish to qualify to advertise on a 'for sale' section. I've got about 30,000 posts of rubbish. 20 is about 10 minutes work...

I hadn't considered that, good point. To be honest I'm losing interest finding a Ford site, I'll leave them on here and see what happens. I was just try to reduce the in and out costs of my banking following buying my new wheels.
Blatman
I'd stick 'em on eBay.

You'll get used to me Blatters after a while I'm sure 😄 I had a bad experience with both them and paypal some years ago, where a (so called) Lucas dizzy actually turned out to be China's finest piece of junk , I was refused any refund or apology. I did what I did with the dizzy and binned them all. I have used Gumtree however before, so may give that a go.
Blatman
I stopped buying from eBay a while ago, choosing to use Amazon instead although there's a lot of Chinese stuff masquerading as quality on there now. It's usually pretty easy to pick them out (delivery time is often a decent clue) and then there's always the old fashioned way of looking up the part number and buying from a "normal" supplier. It can take a little bit of effort sometimes but remember what we had to put up with before the interwebs... I sell on eBay when I have stuff to shift becasue as long as the item is as described (and as you have discovered) there is usually little risk as a seller. Richard (OldStager)
Fair point, I never used Ebay for selling. Most car bits I get from Car builder or Burtons etc, anything else I use good old fashioned shops.
