ci_newman
It's a shot in the dark, but has anyone got a spare xflow sump sitting around somewhere?
Richard (OldStager)
Hi, I haven't got one, but assuming this is for your 1700, you can use the 1300 one but it does need some light work to the sides for a 1600 crank throw to clear it. Some years ago, I ended up having to buy a whole complete spare engine as I could find neither 1300 or 1600 at the time. Good luck with the search. Richard. Richard (OldStager)
That's in good nick isn't it. I wish this had been available last year as I rebuilt my mates 1300 and his was bashed up dreadfully. @ci_newman - It doesn't need much 'work' to the sides of the 1300 one, in fact if you fitted it and spun the engine by hand you would not hear any noises from it, but once started it sounds like the big ends have all failed at the same time.😔

Richard (OldStager)
I have never understood why no one is making these now. Burton Power sell virtually everything for a XFlow, brand new blocks in either iron or alloy, same for the heads all the internals etc , yeah you get a dry sump setup, but for a road car I don't see that as financially viable.
