Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative
we will look forward to your road trip, it reads well, even if the garage is lacking that petrol aroma 😃 We need ambient temperature and hours of daylight too please, it's 1 degree and 8 hours here. Oh it runs on VPower too Julie 😎 The drive itself was pretty boring most of the way, I did most of the driving, that car has the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat on, I just could not get it set right 🙁 At time the outside air temperature hit 35c, but when we got up in the mountains it was down to 28c brrrr. We were due to meet up with Izzy's (Paul's fiancee) family up in the mountains, they were driving down from Bangkok, but had to go to a funeral first. So we met up with Izzy's sister and her boyfriend and followed them up to a viewpoint at 720mtrs up to watch the sunset, we drove along dusty single track roads, met some cows, and eventually got to our destination. We were the only ones there and while we're were hanging about for the sunset a ranger had spotted our cars and drove up after us, then came over and had a chat with Eve, anyway the gist of it was, he said once the sun is disappearing at about 6pm before it gets dark get back to your cars because Tiger footprints have been spotted 😳 Plus there are bears and elephants around 😮 Two drivers One navigator we stopped off off at a temple on the way. some narrow roads and cows then an we arrived at the viewpoint and waited for the sunset Nice view when Izzy's parents arrive later we will find out the plans fo tomorrow. but we have that parts of Thailand are going into lockdown due to a surge in new cases of covid, nothing on the scale in the UK but here they clamp down pretty quick, so we will probably only be here for one more night before heading back to Pattaya and maybe some level of isolation 🙁 Mind you I would rather be isolated here at Paul's house than ours in Manchester.
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative
Where there are cows there is poo so it's good to see you are keeping up the Peak District tradition of driving through it😃 Your trip looks just amazing and what a house to live in too, I could do some damage to the still water in the swimming pool😃
