CraigHew Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 I was browsing some old threads a while back and came across a motorsport book recommendation "Touch Wood" charting the life and exploits of Duncan Hamilton, British racing driver of the 50s. What a superb book. What an astonishing life. Well worth downloading and reading. Quote
Davep1 Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Thanks for the heads up, just ordered a copy. I used to ogle at his classic car showroom in Bagshot in the 1980's when I lived near there. A true legend. Quote
pistonbroke Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Amazing character , some of his stories when he drove his Dtype jag to races across europe would make the modern day H&S campainers cringe . I had his book in paperback form , lent it to someone years ago , if you happen to read this ( you know who you are ) I want it back ! Quote
Sparkymart Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Yeah an absolutely brilliant book if you look on YouTube you can find Duncan Hamilton telling some of the stories from the book in a Interview Quote
