HISTORY

This Westfield was built from a brand new standard wide-bodied kit by Leon Boutell. I bought it in 2007 with 9,000 miles on the clock. It's now done about 30k all told, most of it in Yorkshire (where I became Yorkshire AO). We have now retired to Norfolk but the car has also been down to Cornwall and up to Northumberland for holidays too. So, it’s great for trips out and for touring but we’ve also been to trackdays at Croft, Cadwell, Blyton, RAF Marham and Snetterton where it’s performed brilliantly. It’s been modified and improved to my requirements and currently weighs just over 600kg. I’m selling it as I now have a Rocketeer MX-5 with a 3.0L V6!

Fuel swirl pot and red top lifter pump

Lightweight alternator

Mapped by Northampton Motorsport to produce 185 bhp and 168 ft lbs of torque

SBD lightened standard pattern 16V XE flywheel

228mm 2.0 16V VX Helix sprung paddle clutch

SBD 150mm vertical Ford/Vauxhall alloy bellhousing

Ford Type 9 recently fully rebuilt by ‘Windy’ with a long first gear

3.92 LSD

Standard yellow tub with detachable rear arches and plain black plastic stone guards

New black nose cone with professionally painted yellow stripe and nose band (to replace existing)

New Carbon NV front cycle wings (to replace existing)

New black bonnet with professionally painted yellow stripe (to replace existing)

Aerodynamix carbon scuttle panel

New yellow scuttle (to replace existing)

FIA Cut off switch

Standard black windscreen and acrylic wind deflectors

Carbon fibre foam laminated rear deck lid

Black gloss powder coated RAC roll bar

New black fibreglass diffuser (to replace existing)

SPARES ETC

There are plenty of spares including engine parts
, the original standard gearbox, a good replacement LSD, etc, which you can have if you want. I also have plenty of books and loose-leaf folders full of all the usual stuff, receipts, etc.

 

** SOLD **

This Westfield, with a fresh MOT at the beginning of August and next to no miles since, is offered at £8,000 or thereabouts.

 

I also have a Brian James Minno Max trailer which has been fully serviced and has 4 newish tyres. It will be offered in the first instance to the buyer of the car for an additional £1,000.

A tough time to sell a car that is ostensibly a toy, but this is just so much car for that money. If I didn't have one I'd snap this up. 

 

Just browse the spec, it is an assembly of parts you probably couldn't buy for 12k and some.

 

If you don't desperately need the space or the money it is better in your garage until some post Covid spring,

That is cracking value! Having set the car up I can confirm it's a good un. Yes it has been used plenty, but that just proves good reliability!
