Blatman
Whats this trip through Zeebrugge that Buzz is on about Ask Buzz...... how much is the overall cost ish ? Depends how long you stay for. Food (and wine and beer) is cheap, but you'll have to buy it out there, and the longer you stay, the more you'll have to buy. You'll also need to buy something to cook on, and believe me *everyone* buys disposable barbeques out there....... Bank on around 150ish for the ferry (ask Buzz), probably a oner + for gas, AA 5* cover for Europe will be around fifty quid. Entry tickets are around 45-50 sheets, IIRC, more if you want a seat, although they're probably all gone by now. So, for 4 or 5 days, anything between 300 and 500 nicker should see it done, assuming you don't have to buy a tent/sleeping bag. On the plus side, your green card (that's the insurance document for driving your car abroad) is free........ is there any hooliganism at le mans? Depends entirely on the Gendarmes. Three yars ago (2001), a Ferrari swiped a car at Indianapolis on Mad Friday, and promptly did a runner. The Gendarmes weren't impressed, and we all had to behave ourselves. 2002 saw a *very* heavy presence of Gendarmes and speed cops. At the slightest hint of tyre squealing, they were pulling the "offender", and having a quiet word. Last year, they actually stopped public access to Arnage/Indianapolis at about 13.30, so no-one could get to that part of the road/circuit. By 15.00, it was empty.......this is unheard of, IME..... There was still some action on the main drag outside Camping Bleu, but there were so many people there that trying anything was simply too dangerous (for me at any rate). A trawl of Club Arnage wouldn't do any harm......
