Captain Colonial
Not sure what the definition of “high earners” is or what the current rate of taxation is. A little more detail would be nice. Currently if I earned in excess of $100k a year over here I’d have to start paying US income tax again. Boris was busily bragging about since he was born in New York he’s got dual nationality and could run for president. That was right up until the IRS heard about it and starting chasing him for back taxes. Not sure how it ended, but the IRS are as humourless as the Inland Revenue... Don't remember them being a bunch of laughs when I collected my Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Still got my IRS card, but not used since 2004, sad like that. Good luck in the election, could really go either way, sparks will fly if Donald fails and refuses to concede.

It'll be a disaster for the USA and hilarious for us, who, with our irony radar bleeping away will have already realised that The Donald, on failing to leave office WHEN he loses is behaving exactly like the "communist" dictators he claims to hate whilst simultaneously behaving identically like a dictator. Couldn't make it up. But like soooo many Nurburgring crash videos on Youtube, the spectacle should provide more than a little amusement with a slight tinge of sadness for the state (sorry) that our American brothers seem to have got themselves into... No, like the UK taxes were hiked to beyond 75% (they were reduced pretty quickly by Maggie and Major) they will take their money off-shore and renounce their citizenships, just like Boris. The rich don't really care what flag they fly, unless they have to run for office...
