"One witness said material on the outside of the building had caused the fire to spread quickly". Looks like Grenfell (14 June 2017)? Any lessons learned about external foam cladding? Seems this stuff is all 'round the world and it just sits there until disaster strikes. Thankfully no deaths reported. Edited October 10, 2020 by DonPeffers added date of Grenfell disaster. GaryD1971 Posted October 9, 2020 Share Posted October 9, 2020 I currently work in Fire Protection in a local fire authority and I can safely say that there are lots of changes underway within the UK that will potentially make high rise buildings much safer. As you can imagine, the gears that drive this change move really slowly as per most things government related!
