Good run out today, we had the weather and stayed dry!

5 cars and 6 people, so we managed to stay in the "rule of 6" met at Squires cafe and started the run up to Hemsley, going the back way to York. We managed to stay together and not get split up in the morning tourist traffic. Arriving in Helmsley, we managed to get parked in the market square, and the discovery of 20 minutes free parking was a bonus.  Getting something to eat was a bit of a challenge due to queuing, but a meal deal from the co-op did just fine.

I asked if anyone had been to the White Horse at Kilburn, Des wanted to know if they served a decent pint and a pie, but it doesn't as it's a White Horse cut into the hillside under the gliding club, so we went there next. Narrow roads and a 25% gradient was a bit hairy, and the Land Rover wasn't going to stop (see the coming video). A chat and photos done and we were off again. Fuel stop in Thirsk and down the A19 to York and the Motorist for a coffee. It was closed, so back to Squires with a near miss with from artic nearly saw a 5 car pile up, GoPro not recording for that unfortunately.

The cars created a lot of interest amongst the bikers, as they always do.

A good day out, and thanks for coming.
